My site, Russell Sq, is situated in one of the most attractive areas in London. I specified my programme by looking at the history of the Bloomsbury area and the numerous activities that are happening in and around the place. To accommodate the numerous activities and one of the main activities in the square (walking through) I folded the space and hence increased its density and complexity. The building is a series of overlapping ramps where the activities and the people are in continuous flow. The programme is influenced by activities that can be found in Bloomsbury area, and the building is seen as a cultural centre, which consists of an exhibition hall, teahouse, bookshop, and a small library.
